Quick Workout - Go For 100

so easy and so quick.

nope this time i don't mean 100 miles. what i mean is a workout where you do body weight exercises for 100 reps as fast as you can. this workout is simple, fast and can be done anywhere. it also gives you a time to try and beat after just your first time.

start the watch and do 100 of each of these. generally you pick a number you think you can do and run through all the exercise once, then repeat until you hit 100 for each one. i'm going to start with 25 reps which will take me through it four times.
  • pushups (from knees if necessary)
  • situps
  • squats
  • arm haulers (video - however i try to lift the thighs up too)

** remember this is for time! but don't sacrifice your form... and post your time and your comments!

Hi Matt! Just want to say first that we miss you already! It was great having you around and we look forward to visiting you in SL. As for the workout, it was tough -- got my heart pumping and muscles working. Given that I'm starting from zero the amount of push ups I was able to do was pathetic. Pull ups were out of the question so I improvised with the lat pull down machine. Anyhow, I promise to stick with the program and someday make you proud. Thanks for getting me inspired and back on track.

j-bones! i'm so stoked to give you some motivation to get back at it. i've seen you ripped! so i know you can get back there after the baby.

i miss seattle already too.. i have too many great friends there not to.

ps: i've added a note on the pushups, an acceptable alternate is from pushups from knees. also this post has arm haulers rather than pullups because i realize some don't have a pullup bar, or lat pulldown machine.

keep at it!!

Great workout, but... don't try it right after a ride w/7500ft of climbing. (you'll end up on your nose, like me ;-)

Here's a good program to try. I'm on week four, and it's tough.

sure...none of your workouts are easy:)

hey lisa! i make this workout "easy" by just reducing the number of repetitions. for a beginner i might just give them 20, or 25 reps. then bring them up each week to do a few more.
